I discovered Blind Channel in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. I went to my best friend Amy's house so that we could all watch Eurovision and Amy said to me that there was a band she thought I would like. I thought "ok, let's see shall we?" I waited and then Blind Channel exploded onto the screen and my first thought was "holy moly!" I was hooked straight away, I was listening to all their songs, learning things about them, watching videos and loving everything about them.
Since then, I have followed their amazing ascent in the world of music. You see, they always had the talent, have done since the band started way back in 2013, but being on Eurovision gave them that extra bit of exposure that they needed so that all those potential fans out there could find them. Now it's just down to them to keep coming up with more amazing songs and I have no doubts that they will soon take over the world.
2022 is already shaping up to being amazing for them as they toured the USA as a support band for From Ashes To New. They released their single Bad Idea which pulled on a lot of heart strings including my own. They are touring Europe at the moment with Electric Callboy and it was at the London gig that I finally got to see them live. There are no words for how awesome that gig was, I screamed, I sang, I did an insane amount of headbanging and I danced around like a complete loony. LOVED IT!!
I will be seeing them again in Amsterdam in May and then In September where I will be following them around the country for the UK dates of their Sick And Dangerous tour.
I think it's safe to say that I am a very big fan haha.
This July 8th is the release date of their 4th album, Lifestyles Of The Sick And Dangerous, which every Blind Channel fan is desperate to get their hands on. The band have already released Dark Side, We Are No Saints and Bad Idea from the album and we are all wondering if there will be another single before the album is released.
Whatever the future has for Blind Channel, I can't wait to go along for the ride.
